What is the cause of the floating and sinking of a solid body?
If an object is put into still water and the amount of replaced water by the
object is less than the object’s mass it will drown, if the replaced water has
the same mass as the object it will float while its body will be fully
drowned.
Again, if the amount of replaced water is more than the object’s mass it will
float while a part of its body is drowned.
