Petroleum is an organic compound

Petroleum is the combination of different hydrocarbons. It contains various
organic fuel and organic compounds such as petroleum gas, gasoline, naptha,
kerosene, diesel oil and bitumen, pentane, higher alkane, various alkene,
alkyne, aromatic compound- benzene, toluene, and various organic compounds.

Different parts of crude oil are separated by fractional distillation to make
it useable. Most of the hydrocarbons used in laboratories and industries are
prepared from this petroleum by different methods.
